The OP seems to be talking about J-Seiyuu though, and from Free Talk sessions in drama CDs, some of them seem to be recorded together, seiyuus would talk about trying not to crack up looking at the other's face, and things like that.

Maybe some, especially bigger productions can afford to record them all separately though.

As far as I know Japan always record everything together. It's cute when there are like ten actors but only two mics and actors have to step down after voicing their lines to let the next guy do their job.
