P.S. The guy that wrote the Martian had his novel up for free on his personal website and because so many people read his story for free and liked it, he started getting requests that he add the story to Amazon so they can download the ebook for their Kindles. Amazon doesn't allow author's to post free novels, so he put it up for 99 cents and the rest is history. I think it helped the author build an audience his work. The author's real enemy is obscurity.
