Not in 'Murrica.

Where, incidentally, you still have a hell of a lot of free crisis resources. Staffed by people who are actually trained in assisting someone in the middle of a mental health crisis, which is an actually effective way to manage the situation, unlike pretending you can just apply fiction to the problem.

Because EVERY mentally ill person lives in America, didn't you know? Also everyone apparently copes in the same way.

America's mental health systems are not exactly top notch, my friend, and not everyone lives in America. If you don't have access to proper mental health care, "applying fiction" might not be a cure, but it might be a way to manage it for people who don't have better options.

As someone going to those "free crisis resources," you have to pay for medication and I haven't been able to get into therapy in the one and half a year I've been there while my case managed changes every other month.

Also, surprise, me doing various video games has actually calmed me down from being suicidal! Gasp, shock, horror! Apparently MORE THAN ONE THING WORKS FOR A PERSON! Because if I tried one of the crisis centers near here, I'd be sitting in a waiting room for hours because they're underpaid and understaffed. Must be nice where you live where it's readily available and not shit.
