I found a book called Hollow Earth by David Standish at a used book store not long ago, and it's an interesting run-down of the history of hollow Earth as a belief and also in fiction, listing a lot of fantasy/scifi books that use the idea. There was a Tarzan novel and an Oz novel about going to an underground/hollow Earth world.
