Forgive me if I'm reading too deeply into this, but I'm also an only child and I've often thought about how life would be different if I'd had a sibling. "Maybe I'd be more mature/independent if I had a younger sibling to take care of", "Maybe my family wouldn't be so dysfunctional if I wasn't caught in the middle of my parents...might be less weight off my shoulders", "Will I be able to have a life in the future if my parents are dependent on just me?" etc. and yeah it would be cool to have someone to share creative projects with. But ultimately I think I'm happier being an only child (as if we have a choice, lol) because we can't control how the sibling would turn out and how the hypothetical relationship would be...I've witnessed some pretty messy sibling relationships and have just thought, "whew, dodged a bullet!" Like, it's just as likely to be fucking terrible as awesome, you know?

So...while I don't think it's bad to have the occasional what if fantasy, I hope you can be satisfied with the cards life dealt you and I wish you luck on your creative endeavors. :) And don't waste time being jealous of people who have funding and a huge production team behind them - other artists' success is not your failure and everyone, especially in creative fields, starts out with a blank page, some basic ideas, and millions of pre-existing stories we feel we need to live up to or compete with somehow. Just compare yourself to you. I know it's easier said than done, I'm struggling with it too and this is half me trying to give myself advice...sorry if I rambled too much!
