How do you stop feeling guilty for an on the job accidental death? I wasn't the cause of it, but I was busy doing my part of the teamwork and had my back turned when one of my team members was dragged and run over by a plane loader's outrig.

The real bad bit is that I didn't really know the woman. She was with us on our team for two days. She had moved from the dayside shift to working nights.

Other than that, I feel...like I normally do, though I now have a bit of a fear of running the loaders now. Hopefully that'll pass soon...

Have you asked about therapy from work? Do you have insurance?

Seconding the therapy suggestion here. Even though you have no reason to feel guilty that kind of incident can leave a mark. At the very least keep a friend nearby that you can talk to if you need it. Especially if you witnessed it yourself, that must be traumatic.

That's terrible, Anon! I'm sorry.

Definitely see if there's a way to talk to a therapist or grief counselor through work, and if not, try to set something up yourself. Failing that, just talking to a friend or relative might help.
