Gee, it's almost like people have different opinions about what is attractive or unattractive.

And for the record, to me, Sam is really unattractive. I hate his chin, his spaced eyes, his hair... pretty much all of it is unattractive to me.

Sure, by merit of being fit (I don't consider "tall" an inherent indicator of how attractive someone is, actually Sam's bulky size makes him even more unattractive to me), I suppose they get some points. But most anyone has the ability to get fit, they don't have the ability to change their faces and other features short of surgery.

Sure. But talking about "average" implies a judgment about their attractiveness relative to the population of men as a whole, which I think is what people have a problem with.

If you read my comment again you will notice that I didn't say anything about how objectively attractive they are. That's because attractiveness is largely subjective. So basically your entire comment is responding to assertions I never actually made. I am not telling you you should be attracted to these dudes. That is not a thing that's being said here.

"Looks" however are a different thing entirely. There is some variety to what western society deems good looking, but by almost any western standards, those two dudes are both well above average looking.
