06 isn't a secret, it's even worded as a fact.

(Anonymous) 2017-12-01 03:42 am (UTC)(link)
Come on. Most of us aren't idiots, we understand that sentences like "Pizza is delicious!" has the unspoken "[I think] pizza is delicious!" in it without having to state that explicitly. I for one am glad case isn't a stickler for "I think" or "I believe" secrets anymore. It was unnecessary and eliminated perfectly legitimate secrets based on nitpicky semantics.

It has always been a FS rule that "X is shit" goes to the failbar but "I think X is shit" does not. Wording matters. Or at least used to matter.

... Someone really has a grudge against that show, and is desperate to stir up drama.

How would you like it if you made a secret about how much you love some (apparently?) unpopular show, and some jerkhole did what you're doing? You wouldn't, right? Put yourself in their shoes.

(Anonymous) 2017-12-01 01:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Stop projecting ffs. The problem here is that there's no secret, it's just OP advertising a show they like.

Imagine if from now on half of the secrets aren't secrets but people advertising things they like. I know the place is pretty dead these days, but I'd take 6 genuine secrets over 14 pics but half of them being spam.

#6 OP

(Anonymous) 2017-12-01 09:49 am (UTC)(link)
Do I think it could have been worded better? Yes. It also sounds like an annoying advertisement so maybe I should have changed that.

But it is a secret. Hell, I even bolded the secret part: "The show is better than the MCU movies". Sure it's worded as a statement but as the nonnie above me rightfully pointed out, the secret has the invisible "I think".

"I think" the show is better than the MCU movies. Or perhaps if I could redo this secret I would write "I enjoy this show more than the MCU movies". It's an unpopular opinion. If I said this statement to any MCU fan, I expect they would fully disagree with me. In fact, the responses to the secret below are exactly this.

Anyway, isn't it a little silly for us to be arguing about the wording of a secret? I'm new to Fandomsecrets. I only found out about this place a few weeks ago. My past secrets have actually included the word "secret" within them. This one doesn't, and it gains hate...

Yeah, no. "This show is so good. Let me tell you how good it is. Watch it guys!" ain't a secret, that's advertising.

OP again.

Did you even read the comment? I agree with you and I'm sorry for advertising... The secret part is in bold - the rest of it comes across as an advertisement. Though, it was honestly not my intention to advertise the show...

False statement about show quality!= Secret

You’re not posting to Fandom Stanning.

Not every secret has to be negative... why can't secrets be "stanning"?

Re: #6 OP

(Anonymous) 2017-12-01 07:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Positive secrets are cool. We’ve had a bunch of them lately. This is not a secret. It’s just stanning.

Re: #6 OP

(Anonymous) 2017-12-01 05:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Only insofar as any secret about how much you love a thing is "advertising" the thing you love.

It's pretty clear you're just nitpicking OP's wording because you're bored.

Re: #6 OP

(Anonymous) 2017-12-01 05:46 pm (UTC)(link)
It’s also pretty obvious that you’re OP.

I'm a different anon, but if it makes you feel better to think that only OP would disagree with you, more power to you.

^^ Completely understand why someone said this now.

To quote what someone just said "... Someone really has a grudge against that show, and is desperate to stir up drama."

OP just apologised for the secret several times and admitted it was worded wrongly. But yet, you are trying to purposely stir up drama by accusing a different anon of being OP and criticising their word choice of the secret even after they have apologised...

All of this over a word choice? And on a not-secret? Even though this is called Fandom!Secrets, most people love the "not!secrets", "not!fandoms" posts anyway so does it really matter?

Re: #6 OP

(Anonymous) 2017-12-01 07:54 pm (UTC)(link)
So have you noticed that multiple people, including multiple named users, are calling bullshit on this one? Obviously, “most people” don’t love this not!secret.

I know that doesn’t play into your “one person is targeting me OP to be mean, OMG, why so mean?” narrative. And does it really matter? Of course not. But insomuch that anything on this site “really matters,” why not? Since there’s no actual secret to discuss, the only thing we’ve got left to talk about is how hard this fails as a secret and how mean we all are for pointing out the obvious fail.

So you're bored.

Re: #6 OP

(Anonymous) 2017-12-01 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I didn't mean that against OP! I SUPPORT OP's secret. The "someone with a grudge" I was referring to was the anon who reported OP's secret, in the first place.

... Unless you also meant that, too?
