Huh. I thought it was pretty straightforward. Both the Joker and Mr. Blonde are chaotic and destructive, and they’re both played in an understated, even awkward manner. They both get monologues that most actors would chew the scenery while delivering, and they both deliver those monologues in the way an actual person would, if an actual person were to say those things and mean them. I find both performances quite chilling.

I thought you meant that their performances seemed remarkable at the time but now with so many people imitating them, they don't seem as outstanding now
