I can't stand Jane Eyre. I find Jane kind of boring and Rochester is a jerk and that section with missionaries goes on forever.

Me too! We did it for English and it seemed like everyone else loved, but I just found it boring and annoying

I've always found it amusing that even the Bronte sisters knew that Rochester and Heathcliff were jerks. There's just always been a market for "broody assholes who can be fixed by the love of a good woman" in the romance genre.

And now I'm picturing sparkly Rochester.
