I recently watched Coraline. Despite all the awful things about the other world, I'd still choose it over the real world.

To be honest, I feel this way about most fantasy media. I'd rather have an early and terrible death in a magic realm than live a long life in the real world.

I wouldn't say this out loud because I should have outgrown my childhood wish for magic by now. I'm way too old for this.

But friend, if you let the other mother take your eyes your suffering would not end with your death. Endless hollow ghostliness is not an upgrade from however sad your current life may be
