I love Nancy and Steve...but damn, this season was better to Steve.

tbh, I was even unprepared for the beginning of his turnaround in S1 -- I mostly expected him to remain like Tommy throughout.

There's a lot of okay Steves out there, though.

Steve Allen, Steve Carell, Steve Martin, and Steve Winwood.

And fictionally, there's Steve Austin and Steve Trevor.

Hey. No one likes you, Steve Carlsberg.

I used to work with a guy named Steve and he was really cool and went to bat for me about stuff with the higher-ups, so yay for Steves!

My dad Steve was pretty cool. And Steven Stamkos

Re: There's a lot of okay Steves out there, though.

(Anonymous) 2017-12-05 05:48 am (UTC)(link)
My dad is also a Steve. As a Panthers fan though Steven Stamkos needs to stop being good.

Let's not forget Eh! Steve! from Homestar Runner.

(Anonymous) 2017-12-05 12:08 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah... This season made love Steve a hell of a lot (not that I ever actively disliked him) to the point where Nancy ending up with Jonathan came across as overwhelmingly confusing to me? Like, all he did was look sad about his brother for about two scenes total, and spent the rest of the time being some personality-less chauffeur. He was super pointless, and that old man trying to get two teens to sleep together in his apartment was creepy as fuck, regardless of that fact that they never actually had any believable chemistry at all.

I like Nancy, but I really cannot relate to her taste in men. Either way, go Single Mom!Steve, I guess.

What in the fuck is wrong with all of the idiots here? Names are a series of arbitray sounds your parents label you with when you are a baby. They don't say anything about you as a person. Please stop with this.

(Anonymous) 2017-12-05 12:30 am (UTC)(link)
None of the posts ITT are about his name being "Steve", so I don't know what you mean by "all of the idiots here"

second, i don't think it's uncommon or wrong to have weird unconscious biases associated with certain names. it doesn't mean that you actually literally fully believe that Steves are evil because they're named Steve. i don't think even OP actually thinks that.

Said like a real Steve.

Attention, everybody! Quit being whimsical and silly for the purpose of entertaining yourselves!

You must be a Reginald.

I love Steve's direction in S2.

Someone's being awfully Dan today.

Seriously, I <3 this secret. And Steve.

(Anonymous) 2017-12-05 01:18 am (UTC)(link)
At least they're not being Trevor!

There's really never any need to be Trevor.

I didn't really like Steve for most of Season 1 and I kept expecting him to turn out to be a shallow jerk who didn't deserve Nancy (who I liked and still do though not as much). (Not that I thought Jonathan deserved her either, he creeped me out in Season 1 and still does a little.)

Anyway after Season 2 I totally love Steve.
