I agree, OP. The problem isn't the idea of cartoon animals, or even humanoid animals. It's the furry art style. It's very distinct - the snout, the eyes, the expression, etc. It's really uncanny to me, too, and I absolutely loathe it and don't understand why people are drawn to it.

It doesn't include all animal or fantasy creatures standing on two legs. Furry art is very much in a category of its own.
