They'll probably just claim they cast her on the show so that she could beard during filming.

If I remember the thread in fail-fandom anon right, apparently the tinhats claim that it's the "price" for their upcoming divorce, as Jared is fed up with all of the bearding and will quit Supernatural next season.

It's how I prefer my fandoms. But everywhere on LJ/DW that i saw people talking about it, they were excited and happy. So yay! I'm indifferent, since I don't know her as anything other than 'Mrs. Ackles', so i'm hoping she has acting chops.

Same. Everything I've read has been positive so far, but I tend to stay away from the crazies in the Supernatural fandom.

Me, too. *Nothing* makes them happy *or* makes sense. It's a creepy little corner of the fandom i've never wanted to be part of.

First one.

Jared's former fiancee had a guest part, and his current wife had a recurring role for a season, and one guest appearance after that, so not sure what the big deal is about Danneel being cast.

Though I am under the impression Jared and Gen got together because of her season as Ruby.

lol shit will hit the fan (and I haven't been in the SPN fandom for a bit, and only fic writing). I have no horses in this race, but the people who will be up in arms do realize that they acted together in 10 inch hero, right? smh. I hope they give her a good role.
