Im mostly baffled by how she portrays herself/her self-insert as being part of stuff like the Inquisitorial Squad. Most slytherin stans at least try to erase all that shit, but nope. Apparently she's okay with portraying herself as sycophantic, racist fascist.

One of the big ideas of Background Slytherin is “people are way too blasé about the horrifying stuff in the Harry Potter world, so it’s funny/shocking to show in-universe characters being blasé about those things.” (She talked about this after the joke where Peeves flashed a student.) Of course, this disregards all the readers who weren’t blasé about Magical Hitler.

To be fair, hp's a pretty fascist, racist series overall. I feel like if you're gonna self-insert a character that in any way resembles canon, they're gonna have tones of that, so.
