Yeah, he does claim, and I think there is a tribe that made him an honorary member?, but I don't recall.

Anyhow, at the time of the burgeoning crush, all I knew was that he was white, my classmates could see he was white, and we were all 11, petty, and I had some strange notion that liking a white dude was not okay. It really probably didn't matter, tbh. i just didn't want to be judged.
