Seconding Billy from Stranger Things. I mean, in the show's defense, I don't think they wrote him as morally ambiguous in any way, nor do I think they have any intention of woobifying him. They wanted a human villain, so that's what they wrote. The worst I could say about the show's handling of Billy is that I just don't feel he was necessary to the story and the writing didn't do much to make him feel necessary.

OTOH, it does seem like a lot of viewers want to see him redeemed somehow, and yeah, I'm so not here for that. I was honestly rooting for Max to skewer him in the leg with the nail-bat, and was kind of annoyed when she didn't.
