At this point, I think the list of books one "should" read because they're ~masterpieces is something like 5000 books long, so I wouldn't worry too much about that aspect of it.

That said, I found Little Women really enjoyable and reread it often when I was a kid. If you like 19th century children's literature in general, I definitely recommend it. If you dislike the genre, otoh, then I don't know if Little Women will be awesome enough to change your mind.
