I get the idea with the eyes but if they acted like shutters instead of legit eyes, I'd probably be on board with it. Because her arms look cool.

And there's iffy casting so I'm like yeah that + these big ass eyes have put me off this.

I can't get it to work, but let me tell you how all excitement I might've mustered for an Alita adaptation just went out like a candle upon the words "CGI".

Came out and I thought, what a weird trailer. Not because of the subject matter but because of how it was cut. This is one of the least cohesive trailers I've ever seen.

Agreed. It seemed weird to start it with the flirting between Claire and Owen. It contrasted oddly with the action scenes and no explanation of who that other guy was.

I'm excited because Rey being the second coming of Luke was boring to me. They could go too far into Anakin territory too. It would be cool if she got to learn from both light and dark and then chose her own path and alliances.

Bryan Singer and the Freddie Mercury biopic

There were tensions on the set between Singer and Rami Malek, which were apparently due to either "creative differences" or Singer just not showing up a lot, then he was "unexpectedly unavailable" after filming took a break at Thanksgiving, either because the tensions were giving him PTSD or because his mother was sick and the studio wouldn't give him time off, then he was fired and the movie has a new director, and THEN Signer was accused of sexual assault (again, I think?) Busy couple of weeks.
