Oooh, I loved riding a train the one time I did it. How long is your ride? What kinds of books are you looking for?

I'm pretty sure the ride will be around 7-8 hours each way? I figure it's way easier than driving into NYC (the last time I was in a vehicle in the Lincoln Tunnel, there was a crash in the lane beside us. It didn't seem too serious, but it was still pretty scary) and I'd rather not fly, so I think this'll be a lot of fun! I'm also planning to bring a bottle of wine and a bunch of snacks since the cafe's menu doesn't seem too great.

I'm really bad at remembering to read actual books (I read fics all the time, but sometimes it's like I forget I even own a Kindle, lmao), so I'm looking at... everything, really. I'm pretty willing to read any genre as long as it's got engaging writing and interesting characters, so my current plan (for better or worse) is to download a bunch of samples of things that have decent summaries/good reviews on Goodreads and pick whatever ends up standing out to me, haha.
