Eh, I sort of see your point, especially if it's a self-righteous flounce, but then again, there are other reasons ppl delete. In my own case (I wrote fic), I deleted because the comms/boards I was part of were slowly being abandoned and were no longer protected or f-locked. I didn't want the (usually explicit) stuff I'd written out there for just anyone (including potential employers) to discover, and I figured if anyone wanted a copy of anything I'd written, they'd probably already saved it. So I deleted pretty much everything. Sometimes that's just the way it is.
