There were two fic writers who's fics I absolutely loved and they both ended up deleting their work. I had their emails addresses and I emailed them separately and told them how much I loved their works (each gave me a great deal of comfort during difficult periods in my life). They both ended up snail mailing me cds of all of their works (this probably dates this a bit, haha), and one of them added in fandom related stickers!

Anyway, sometimes authors really just need to get away from their pieces for whatever reason. I respect that, even though it makes me sad.

That's an awesome story, thank you. Reading that made me smile. People are lovely sometimes, and I bet those authors really appreciated that someone loved their work enough to ask about it too.
