Well yeah, if you want to go full tin hat on this, Netflix probably knew that Spacey was sleeping his way around production assistants and didn't want to be the last company holding that hot potato. Because fuck, from front-page story to forcing out an executive producer over a weekend? That's pretty damn quick for a company supposedly blindsided by the news.

It would explain why when Spacey was dismissed that the statement included a line about concern for the safety of the cast and crew.

And also Spacey didn't get dismissed until an established (if not as famous) actor accused him of attempted child rape. Young-but-adult production assistants? Eh. 14-year-old Anthony Rapp? Bye!
