I honestly don't care about it too much. It's a shame, and I wish they wouldn't do it, but at the end of the day its their work and they can do whatever they want with it, so. Oh well.

This actually makes me think of this one fic writer I heard about recently who deleted their entire internet presence a couple years ago because people started spreading rumours about how "problematic" their fics were? So this person was doxxed, had their real name spread around, etc. and (naturally) their response was to delete everything so it didn't impact them irl, and I doubt anyone could blame them for that.
