Oh, right, since this is about complaining, I meant to add: I really can't figure out why Black Flag is so goddamn boring. I started this game when it came out, got halfway though, and I can't stop picking up any other game over it. I like pirates! I even watched Black Sails and it didn't get me in the mood to play it. If that can't do it, maybe it's honestly impossible.

I still fully intend to finish it, though. Eventually. For Origins.

I'm in this same boat (haha) - the mechanics were good and goddamn I love fucking sailing around and blasting Navy ships to bits. But for some reason once I completed all the collectible objectives I just can't be arsed to finish the story. It's kind of like...that's it? I have no more upgrades for the ship so even attacking ships is pointless, there's no more treasure to find, what else should I do? I guess I could finish the story.

I know! Maybe it has to do with the main character being pretty dull (and constantly side-eyeing him over how badly he's going to fuck things up knowing what his son is like), or the lack of any reason to care about the current-day stuff now that Desmond & friends are (mostly) gone.

AC3 wasn't a great game, and is probably responsible for initially getting me into this zone where I'm thinking, "I guess I don't really like this series anymore?", but at least I finished that one (and pretty quickly, too). Who knows, man.
