... Sort of! I had a subscription to Shonen Jump for a year when I was younger, and it was going through that, uh, Ancient Egypt arc? I don't know the official name for it, but I remember enjoying it a lot, though I never actually got around to starting the manga from the beginning. I might do it now, though!

xD OP, are you me? Cuz I'm going through the same thing rn, except I don't care if people know - and, I mean, I'm 31, so... ^^;;;

But yes, Duel Links is so damn addicting to me right now. I got Yami Marik last night and I'm so hyped about finishing the current event. It has also made me rewatch the anime (with my son, who's being introduced to it for the first time) and the game and anime are totally stirring up my old shipping feelings! (Ahhhh, Joey/Yugi, why you so adorable???)

I may start rereading the manga soon because I got as far as the Marik storyline and got halfway through before mysteriously stopping (oddly, I did the same thing with the anime, no idea why). Have fun OP!

hehe I know. Was taping it for my kids, and when I went online to figure out what episodes I had and which I was missing, and so on, I just got SUCKED IN.

I'm actually in the middle of getting Yami Marik as I'm typing this, haha.

I remember for sure that I never actually finished the Yugioh dub when it was first airing. I think I stopped somewhere in the middle of the, uh, Dartz arc? Whatever it was? I never intentionally stopped watching it, I just slowly forgot to keep tuning back in, I guess (the problem with trying to remember to watch a show every week before DVR existed).

I think it's so weird for me because it was my first fandom where I shipped non-canon ships, actively interacted with other fans in forums, etc. So a lot of my feelings here are definitely tied in with the, y'know, inherent embarrassment of remembering just how annoying I was as a kid/young teen.

Aww, don't be embarrassed, OP. Let your freak flag fly! I recently started rewatching YGO and dug out all my old cards. The cards brought back a lot of old memories because many of them were given to me by good friends. I wish I had someone to play the game with. Out of curiosity, what are your new ships? I never shipped Yami Bakura/Marik as a kid, but I definitely do now.

That's the major new one for me too, actually! I never paid much attention to Yami Bakura before, I'm not sure why. It's almost funny, since I remember really loving Thief King Bakura, so maybe it was just a case of, well, shallowness? I got burnt out on white-haired, pale & evil anime/game dudes pretty early on. Ancient Egyptian Bakura, though? Now that was a cool design.

Puppyshipping was my OTP as a kid & I'll probably always have a fondness for it (out of nostalgia if nothing else), so I'm still shipping that one too.
