I love really short or shaved hair on female characters, really long hair with complicated braids.

I hate it when characters get rained on or nap and suddenly have straightened, styled, or perfectly curled hair. I think there's a scene where Natasha does this in CA:TWS and I was like whaaaat. They're at Sam's. Sam has almost no hair. You can't convince me he has hair styling tools for long hair.

That bit in CA:TWS has always bugged/amused me, too, especially when her wet hair really looks like it's going to frizz up, then suddenly it's perfectly straight and dry.

I was just watching Cowboys and Aliens and there's the part where Olivia Wilde's character apparently dies, then comes back IN A FIRE and steps out of the flames... and her hair looks really nice.

Yes! Maybe her little gadget belt has a mini straightener? That was the most reasonable explanation I could come up with.
