They're just telling you not to use homophobic terminology while talking about it. I'm not sure why you're having such a hard time understanding this. The only person trying to invalidate the actual, lived issues of erasure or phobia here is you.

(Anonymous) 2017-12-10 07:37 am (UTC)(link)It wouldn't be very nice of me, for instance, to say that in my experience, bi girls are cheating dramahounds, because while that is actually true for me as a lesbian (so don't talk shit about "invalidation" here), it was just those particular girls. Their being bi is an aside. But I could certainly use it the way you're using your ~lived experience~ and perpetuate further stereotypes against bisexuals. I won't, because I'm not an asshole, but I could.
