I don't watch the show, but I wouldn't be too worried if I were you. Re-writing a canonically gay character as straight or even bi in this day and age would get the creators lynched.

I do watch the show, and I don't think they will?

It's more likely that they'll continue to set up
Gert -> Chase -> Karolina -> Nico

I'm surprised at how underwhelmed I am by this show. There hasn't been any actual running away, I don't particularly like the changes to the story (Molly Hayes becoming Molly Hernandez and having her backstory changed, SJW Gert, brunette Chase, the emphasis on the Pride, Gert's parents knowing that the kids know about Old Lace, the whole Alex/Nico thing)... Plus all the "OMG, Nico/Karolina is TOTALLY ENDGAME!" shit I see on Tumblr is irritating as all fuck. (Note: I am aware I sound like a pressed hater.)

Then again, I do like Nico, Gert's parents and Nico's dad (I find Nico's mom unsettling because she reminds me a lot of my own mother).

Chase being brunette isn't a story change and isn't even the biggest change to his character?

I am pretty sure Molly's backstory is being changed because they can't have mutants in the MCU, and SJW Gert does just feel like an updated version of Gert to me, but yeah there are a lot of story changes that I don't mind but I feel like are probably alienating to a lot of fans.

I mean, in the comics Chase was all about Karolina until she came out. And in the show K's been giving lingering looks to Nico and other girls, plus her reaction when she saw Nico and Alex kiss so I reaaalllly doubt they're going that way.

Was about to say, there have been a few shots of Karolina looking at Nico for no other reason (apparently) than to show she's interested in Nico. Since everything the show seems to be about draaaaagging thiiiiings ooooout to give everyone more character development, it would make little sense for her to immediately know she's a lesbian or act on it, when they could give her a multi-ep journey of realizing it.

I don't get what show other people are watching.

I say this not as a Karo/Nico shipper, Hell, I ship Karo/Julie Powers from Loners and I see the writing on the wall.

They definitely won't. Chase being into Karolina was a thing in the comics too, after all.
