I'm in a band fandom. You talk about the music, concerts, interviews, photoshoots, and yes, some people write RPF.

It's really not hard, just follow Twitters or Tumblrs or IGs or whatever and see what other people are talking about.

You join a message board and talk with other folks about how awesome your favorite band is. Haven't run into RPF so far but sometimes people talk about experiences with band members or even dreams involving them. I've seen people trade tickets and concert photos and hold contests for tickets/merch. Band fandom.

Would writing fanfic for a band's music video count toward Bandom? lol, I've always been curious about that.

I'd say it counts, yeah :). I never thought about people writing fanfic off music videos before, but I shouldn't be surprised. That'd be fun to read.
