(Anonymous) 2017-12-12 12:18 am (UTC)(link)go-to recipe for tomato sauce
(Anonymous) 2017-12-12 12:37 am (UTC)(link)Add 1 or 2 cloves of garlic, swirl it around for a minute or two until it's sort of golden brown and the oil has picked up the flavor, then remove the garlic. Add about half of a can of tomato paste and fry for a few minutes, stirring vigorously. Add a splash of wine to the tomato paste, then put in a 28 oz can of whole peeled tomatoes and their juice. Stir everything together, poking apart the tomatoes with your spoon, add oregano and salt and pepper and any other seasonings you want, then bring to a boil. Add a peeled, halved onion, then reduce to a simmer and cook until you feel like it's done. Remove the onion before serving.
You can do it with real tomatoes as well (just blanch and peel them first) but it's a lot more hassle and you can't get good tomatoes outside of summer anyway.

Heat up a pan, throw in olive oil and/or butter, add veggies/meats of your choice, wait maybe two or three minutes, then add (COOKED) pasta, extra seasonings are optional (I like parsley and garlic powder if I have no fresh garlic), and toast it up! The pasta gets so yummy and crunchy. Mmm !!!
