Sort of based on #5

Who are some characters you would usually be physically attracted to but are not because of some personality trait?

Alternatively, what actors do you only find attractive in certain roles?

Jason Isaacs is only hot when playing evil. Actually, quite a few actors I feel that way about.

I don't know what they do to Benedict Cumberbatch's hair in Sherlock but that's the only way he looks good to me.

That's how I felt about him in Doctor Strange. First time I've ever been attracted to him.

Same. I don't even like Sherlock, but the look of the character really suits him, IMO. I don't find him particularly attractive in any other role.

Massive, massive same. I love the dark, slightly messy curls so much, but without them he doesn't look good to me at all.

It isn't a character but I think had I not first seen him in Schindler's List, I would find Ralph Fiennes attractive. But I did so he just sort of scares me.

Ralph Fiennes stopped being attractive to me when I found out he couldn't be faithful to his wives/partners.

The only time I've ever found Eva Green attractive was in Ms. Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. She should just have weird hair all the time.

She was smoking hot in Penny Dreadful, too.

Just googled her in these two, and that's the first time in my life I've seen her actually look sexy, damn.

I find Tom Hiddleston 200% more attractive as Loki, it's the darker hair, it works for me so much more than his natural blonde.

Viggo Mortisen is only attractive to me as Aragorn, he rocks the stubble+mid-length hair well.

So did you see Hiddleston in Crimson Peak?

I'm not a Hiddleston fan, but I do agree that he looks wayyy better with dark hair. He just looks so basic with his natural hair, lol.

Ryan Gosling was amazing looking in Drive. Seriously good shit, would bang, 10/10. Everywhere else I've seen him, he looks completely average to boring. I guess it's just the dead-eyed delicate killer thing that does it for me.

I can't think of any for the first q sorry.

I only ever found Stuart Townsend attractive as Lestat in Queen of the Damned. Maybe it was the vampire thing? But I'm not even into vampires so??? xD

I found Colin O’Donoghue really attractive and was super excited to see him play Hook until the actual character showed up, then it wasn’t long until I associated Colin with how much I hated Hook.

I never had much of an opinion on Colin Firth until I saw Kingsman for the first time. It's weird as hell, considering he's the same age as my parents, but goddamn do I find him attractive in that film.

More recently, I watched that Pride & Prejudice mini-series with him, and... nah. Back to neutral.

SA

Just googled what he looked like in his 20s (aka: my age) and nooope. Just looks like a generic British dude, no thanks.

I love him in general, but him in Kingsman hits all my YES buttons. Suits, badassery, manners? I'll take two.
