Haha, I played the whole second game in Moon with remedial language skills just because I suck at waiting for things. :'( I feel your pain!

It's okay, physics is hagsadjd and I hate it. I think everyone hates it. Even physicians D: Congrats on your Layton-enhanced calc score, though ;D

Oh damn, you've got me beat. I couldn't even get through the demo because I got to a point where I had to answer a question or something and had no idea what to do. I watched quite a while of a "let's play" that someone posted on Nicovideo while skipping over all the puzzles.

Oh jeez physicians! Did you mean physicists? Either way I just cracked up in the middle of a living room with four other people who were all staring at me funny.

The puzzles were pretty ridiculously hard through a language barrier. There's this one which is like 'a teacher gives her students a red balloon if they can see four red hats, and a blue balloon if they can't' and gives out the numbers of students wearing hats and that was a NIGHTMARE to translate.

GODDAMMIT THAT'S THE WORD. YES. PHYSICISTS. WTF /epic fail

I have no idea how you made it through the entire thing without being fluent. How long did it take and how many people did you murder out of frustration?

IT'S OKAY it made me laugh really hard and that's always good. You can chalk it up as another reason to hate physics.

A biiiig big part of the secret is when the game forces you to do X number of puzzles...Go find multiple choice answer ones. ;D It leaves a select number of puzzles that you have to translate properly. That being said, those ones were HORRIBLE, so it took me a couple of weeks of solid playing (I played it instead of studying Japanese conventionally for a while...)
Also, the ingame text itself (as in the non-puzzle stuff) is pretty simple. Mainly because half of Layton's lines are 'SPEAKING OF (NOUN), HOW'S ABOUT THIS PUZZLE' or some American train guard waffling on in psuedo English.

Oh, I shall. As if I needed another reason. PHYSICS, THE BANE OF MY TEENAGE EXISTENCE. *shake fist shake fist*.

Oh wow. That still sounds pretty scary. I think I'll wait for the inevitable translation because I'm not sure that I have that much patience (and I don't even know elementary Japanese, haha.). Pseudo-English jabbering sounds pretty amusing, though.

Well, at least you can say that you survived the second Layton game waaay before much of the English-speaking fandom did.

Ahaha, yeah. For me it's more of a joke than anything (I have a physics vs. biology thing going on with a friend) but it's dragged on so long that I actually get aggravated whenever physics gets brought up. And Marine Biology but that's a whole other story.
