It's true there might not be as many Wilson/House shippers if Wilson had been a woman, but sometimes I wish he were so that crazed canon freaks would stop telling me there's nothing there, because if he were a woman, I assume pretty much everyone who bitches us shippers out about it would ship it. :/
Oh dear, I hope you don't mind, but I feel a babble-session coming on.

I dunno if I still would ship it, to be honest - it depends how like Cameron Wilson would seem if he were a woman. XD (Not saying that I didn't think the House/Cameron stuff was kinda cute, but she gets on my nerves a lot more often than Wilson ever does, is all.) 'Course, if he ended up being more like Cuddy, it probably wouldn't change my mind. I kinda ship them, too...

Honestly, I just want House to find happiness, which is why I ship (for the most part) House/Wilson. He always seems happiest when he's around Wilson. He goes to him when he's upset or thinking, and almost every time, his epiphany has something to do with Wilson. Wilson is his best and only friend, and they love each other (platonically, romantically, doesn't matter.) If he were to find someone else, I wouldn't mind (as long as it's not Stacy, who I refuse to ever trust after everything), but currently, the only person who seems right for him is Wilson. They don't have to be lovers for me to be happy, they just have to...*shrug* I dunno. Have each other.

Okay, sorry about that. I'll shut up now.

159. I know exactly what you mean. I fall for fandom skirtchasers like a ton of bricks, all the time. Sometimse it really pisses me off, because, one of my only limits is cheating. I find it entirely unforgivable on all counts, for either gender, but, every once in a while, it happens on fandom, and I think, well, yeah, but other than that, he's perfect. It drives me up a wall. I should not be this easily swayed!

YES. FUCKING YES. (Especially since a lot of them are batshit House/Cameron shippers).

Also, I am so fucking tired of "if X were a woman people would ship it/X wouldn't have so many fans" secrets.

Slash is more popular than het in many fandoms. Fanfiction is written mostly by women and many women are more interested in m/m sex than m/f sex or f/f sex. Get over it and if you want more het or femmeslash, WRITE IT and stop bitching at other people for not shipping what you want.

Omigod, I love you. I know what you mean. I hate when people whine about how gender roles play such a big part in fandom. Yeah, kinda, but does that really matter? They're not going to change any time soon (unless it's got a nip/tuck situation), so there's no use focusing on it.

HAHAHAHA Cameron was cute in the first season but just got more and more annoying and pathetic as time went on.

And I'm all for pairing tolerance in all fandoms. "I respect your opinion if you respect mine." WHY IS THIS SO HARD FOR PEOPLE TO FOLLOW? It's cool to try and prove your point, or cleverly using canon evidence to back yourself up, but bitching whenever someone disagrees with you just makes my overall opinion of your ship and its fanbase decline exponentially, regardless of how plausible the ideal is. Irrational fans taint my opinion of canon, and this is what pisses me off the most.

GODDAMN IT THANK YOU. THANK YOU. I haven't heard anyone use the word 'platonic' in such a long time. Wilson is House's 'rock', per se. He's the voice of rationality and reassurance, the only one House is ever willing to listen to, and the only one he truly respects. Even if Wilson was female, I would still see their relationship as nothing more than platonic-with-potential. I don't understand why strong bonds always have to be seen in fandom as something sexual. M/M, F/F, M/F, it doesn't necessarily always have to be that way. I'm just glad there's someone else out there who sees this.

Oh, I understand you completely. I mean, I ship it, totally, and I even get a bit serious about it at times. But I love their platonic relationship more than anything else. I mean, honestly, they're dynamic is just too perfect to really muddle up.
