haha cute I don't have the legs for it but that seems like a good gig as long as everybody knows who you are so you don't get whacked like any other redshirt. "OK, who's beamed down?" "Kirk, Spock. McCoy, Scotty and Lt. Arthur."

Spock, Bones and a random ensign have beamed down to the planet's surface ... ... guess who's not coming back?

I'm sure there's the data somewhere, but I'm sure male extras died a heck of a lot more often than female extras - so, with great male-gaze comes great plot immunity ;)

Omg, yeah, that was total nightmare fuel! That's one of the few female casualties I can remember (aside from "we killed off the girl Kirk was temporarily into in this episode for drama value")
