It's the same with female characters, which would make more sense if the representation was evenly spread; but considering a ton of properties are written by white dudes to star white dudes with like, one female character and one male poc (both of which often are thinly sketched background to aforementioned white dudes); I think it's kinda backwards to rag on fans for often preferring *gasp* the white dudes. Not everyone wants to work to find the moments of resistance or whatever, they just wanna read fic.
