No! I love wrapping presents! I wrap presents for friends all the time if they ask~ (I've even done it at work. One older gentleman I work with was such a sweetie one year and was hosting his whole family but his wife was in the hospital and he was overwhelmed, so I helped out and wrapped the presents for his whole family while on the clock, with permission~)

No, I'm angry because I've recently taken in my sister's elderly cat and when she gave her cat to me the poor thing was so matted that she was bleeding. My sister had let her get to that point due to severe neglect because she adopted two huuuuge dogs four years ago and stopped taking care of her cat. I didn't know this earlier because I'm only really at her place on holidays and the cat hides when company comes around.

So my sister and I are fighting about her being an animal abuser, her saying I'm over-reacting, and it's just an ugly, painful mess because this cat is fourteen and was beloved and adored for the first ten years of her life by my sister and I just can't wrap my head around doing that to any animal. It just kills me.

So now I'm a cat owner, despite being violently allergic, because the cat is never, ever, ever going back anywhere near my sister, and I can't bring myself to put her up for adoption when I've known her for half my life. She's mine until the end now. (And the end had better be years and years away.)

But I'm just... angry. I have no idea how even to get past what my sister did to her (mine now) cat.

Wow. That is crazy. Like, I would get if she was always abusive, that means she doesn't care about animals. But abusing an animal you previously loved. Crazy.

Yeah. She loves animals. She babies her dogs outrageously. She babied her cat outrageously for the first ten years too, before getting the dogs. She helps out with shelters and advocates against animal cruelty...

And abused her poor cat. :/ I just. Yeah. I can't even fathom it. Health-wise, once I got the cat all cleaned up and her skin healed, she's perfectly healthy. Since she's older she has a bit of trouble making tall leaps, so I got her a step to help her get up on my couch, but she's in amazing condition otherwise and I just... can't even begin to figure out my sister's thought processes.
