Brave. :/ I wanted a fun mother/daughter saving the world adventure (like the preview made it seem!) and I got a spoiled brat poisoning her mom because she didn't get her own way and fucking everything up and getting her own way in the end.

I am still pretty bitter about it. And I despise Merida.

I thought it was going to be a neat mystical exploration of Scottish spirits and folklore, like a Miyazaki movie, where she fought a cursed evil bear spirit to save her clan. Instead it was a Disney Princess!Freaky Friday in tartan. :[

I like the film okay and I honestly thing the plot is a huuuge step forward from the Disney Princess tropes. But compared to Pixar at their best, it was honestly just "meh".
