I've seen a theory that because Viserion died, she can have kids again. Viserion was part of a trade off for the death of her biological baby, Rheago. I don't know if I buy that but maybe? Also maybe because her relationship with Jon is all destined and shit, they'll have babies?

DA I hate that her destiny is apparently baby factory. She's freed slaves, ridden dragons and led armies. All this pales beside her womanly duty of popping out babies.

Society's attitudes haven't come far since the Tudors, apparently.

I don't think it pales at all. Her having babies was sort of hinted at this season as being a necessity to further her family line and have a successor, as it would be if she were a man.

It really all depends on how they play Daenerys getting pregnant if it happens. If they treat her having Jon's babies as the greatest thing her character has ever done, then that's shitty but if it's more "now the Targaryen line can continue and there will be a heir to the Iron Throne," then that's logical.

Particularly with reference to ruling monarchs producing an heir to the throne.

I was hoping she'd be an Elizabeth I figure.
