Inspired by number 6 - what celebrity cooks do you really like? Who do you hate?

I really like Pati's Mexican Table on PBS/Create. And while it's not a favourite I got some really good onion tips, and awesome meatball cooking advice from Nick Stellino's show.

I love most cooking shows, GBBO's gotta be my fave though.

Alex Guarnaschelli is both a great cook and a nice person. I love watching her on tv.

As for favorite shows, I love all the competitions. Masterchef, Top Chef, Chopped, Iron Chef/Iron Chef Showdown, Beat Bobby Flay. I even like Guy's Grocery Games.

Alex being nice IRL surprises me because she was such a stone cold biatch on Chopped. Guess she's just a harsh critic.

I really like Sorted Food. I just love the sincere enthusiasm about food, and seeing friendship like that play out in a youtube channel about cooking is just absolutely delightful.

The only cooking show I watch is Great British Bake Off. But I like Gordon Ramsey when he is not doing his screaming thing.

Gordon Ramsey reminds me of too many of my former bosses for me to enjoy his shows.

I hate his American, screaming shows. But off his shows or like on that kid's cooking show, he is super nice.

I really like Masterchef Australia. Most people on this show (or at least the editing) seem so pleasant and supportive of each other - there is hardly any drama, almost no backstabbing and malevolent scheming and I like the judges as well.

Dude I am in the middle of watching season 8 RIGHT NOW. Like, literally as I eat my dinner. >.>

I love MasterChef AU. The judges are so damn nice and it's like the only cooking show where I like all the contestants.

I don't actually like cooking shows and admittedly am a picky eater who would never eat a lot of the things they make on the show. But the level of professionalism among the contestants and the way they keep cheering each other on is refreshing compared to other shows.

America's Test Kitchen/Cook's Country are my favorites for actual recipes and learning about cooking.

Good Eats is informative when it comes to the science of food, but Alton Brown can get a little too elaborate in the name of doing things well (as opposed to the way ATC tends to ask "Okay, but how can you do this for a weeknight dinner?")

For entertainment value: Great British Bakeoff.

I've met Chris from America's test Kitchen, he was super nice and he autographed my copy of one of his cookbooks.
I like when Alton Brown talks about history and science but his jokes are awful.

John Torode makes me smile whenever I see him because he looks almost exactly like my dad (which makes the 'buttery biscuit base' video even more hilarious). My dad even had this pointed out to him by a cashier once, but my dad had no idea who he was, so he jokingly asked "Is he good-looking?"

The girl thought really hard about it and then said "Well, if you're into that sort of thing, I guess." Classic.

Not quite TV but Andrew Rea aka Binging With Babish.
