My understanding was that "consider themselves a paragon of diversity and feminism" was part of the definition of SJW, and part of why it's largely a pejorative term.

I'm not questioning whether JKR herself would describe herself that way, but whether people among her fans who accept that characterization would be accurately called SJWs.

Because believing that JKR is a paragon of yadda yadda yadda requires overlooking a bunch of things (like defending Johnny Depp's casting) that SJWs would usually be critical of, and because her politics are much more centrist than I think a lot of so-called SJWs would subscribe to.

I see a lot more criticism of JKR from people who care about social justice than I do blind, unreasoning defense.

Ahh I see, I took the "she" in your comment as the general she / oneself, as in the SJW fans acting as judges to determine who the paragons are, not JKR. My mistake!

Fair enough!

DA - Since when is JKR Centrist? I don't think she's as far left as it goes, but she seems pretty liberal.

Liberal, but outspokenly opposed to Jeremy Corbyn (for instance).
