I find it interesting when people continue to defend celebrities, even after they have been outed as doing terrible things. There is plenty of evidence that he did abuse Amber Heard.

Right now, there is an upsurge of men being forced to take responsibility for their terrible past actions, which to me can only be a good thing. Sometimes, this may involve taking away their source of power, in this case, Johnny's work, for him to understand that his actions are not acceptable, that society has changed and abusive men are now being held to account. JK defending him is disappointing. I feel she put the film above the fan's wishes.

This secret, and the responses to it are very disappointing and show that we still have a long way to go, in society. You can hide and accuse people of being SJWs, or investigate the truth as to what is truly going on in society.

B-but Jack Sparrow is so dreamy!

"I find it interesting when people aren't as heavily invested in celebrity sport-hating as I am."

(Anonymous) 2017-12-18 01:26 am (UTC)(link)
But that doesn't require you to be invested in defending the celebrity either, does it?

NAYRT

Liking the cast choices of something isn't defending someone's actions though?

(Anonymous) 2017-12-18 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
It requires you to say that someone who's abusive still deserves to be a major movie star. It's not quite defending their actions, but it does imply that those actions aren't serious or important enough to change how you feel about them acting in a movie.

It must suck when you can't guilt-trip other people into caring about celebrities as much as you do. :(

(Anonymous) 2017-12-18 01:45 am (UTC)(link)
I don't give a shit what you do. Ultimately, it's up to you to do what you think is morally right. But I think your reasoning is for shit, and I don't agree with describing caring about stuff like this as "celebrity sport-hating".

(Anonymous) 2017-12-18 01:46 am (UTC)(link)
Awwww did I hit a nerve?

(Anonymous) 2017-12-18 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
Not really

I just don't agree with you

(Anonymous) 2017-12-18 11:43 am (UTC)(link)
you know you have lost a debate when you have to pull out the condescension

(Anonymous) 2017-12-18 02:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I really have to wonder what kind of sad life someone leads to intentionally troll like this. I hope you're seeing a therapist.

(Anonymous) 2017-12-18 05:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Says the person shaming and mocking fans for liking problematic celebrities.

(Anonymous) 2017-12-19 12:06 am (UTC)(link)
in addition to all of this johnny depp's staff confirmed that he was abusing her. people who continue to support him and accuse her of lying are garbage.
