Comics take a long-ass time. I'm working on a turian/human smut thing and goddamn. It's one fucking sex scene, I'm still in the sketching things out stage, and I've probably already put 25+ hours into it. I haven't even finished with the layout or sketching half the panels yet.

But tbh I'm at the point where I seriously wonder how anyone has time to complete any fanart, even standalone stuff. I've been thinking about doing something for Infinity War where I draw all the Avengers, and I haven't even finished Black Widow yet and she was the first one. And it's not like I'm slow, I'm pretty fast, I just don't have time anymore. ;_;

Shit! 25 hours! Lol and here I am complaining because I can't get my pictures out fast enough.

I love drawing, and occasionally making fanart, but I'm starting to realize I'm really impatient. Making this comic is really going to be a lesson in patience.

I do agree with your last statement. It is super time consuming and I'm beginning to think people who go all in for fanart are either working in some art/design related field, have amazing time management skills, or have nothing else to do/a lot of free time. Sigh. Good luck!

Are you ever going to post it or is it drawer stuff? If you do post, do you have an account for your fanart?

I just don't have time anymore to dedicate to fanart. If I could draw for an hour or two each day every day, I'd do that. But a lot of times it's like I have five hours total in a week that I can do something 'fun' so am I going to work on a picture or am I actually going to relax and just chill with a video game or a movie or whatever? And most of the time I'm going to choose to relax.

Which means that I get maybe a day or two every couple weeks where I have the time and energy to devote to something, and that's not enough time to finish a piece and the time I can sit down and work on fanart I probably won't be in the mood to finish the piece I started last time... I have a whole lot of partially done shit, and maybe a few times a year I have a chance to actually finish something.

I was mostly just planning to post it to the /aco/ xeno thread on 4chan, but maybe it'll go up on my tumblr if I finish it.

I only have two things up there now. I guess three if you count my header. I had to drop my old deviantart bc my ex figured out what it was.

Wow! You're really good (I happen to like your header a lot, btw)!

Do draw on paper then scan & use photoshop or some other program? Or do you draw directly on the tablet?

Oh thank you. :) That's nice of you to say.

I draw and color in Paint Tool Sai and use Photoshop for text, textures, layer effects, etc.
