Always remember that muscles weigh more than fat so at least on a scale, a new workout routine might not immediately show.

my nutritionist told me that too, but I don't want to build muscle, I want to lose weight.

Building muscle will help you lose weight in the long term. You burn more calories for every pound of muscle you have, even when just doing simple things like standing for a while or climbing stairs.

Even a little bit of muscle is going to make your weight fluctuate, but ultimately, bring down the amount of fat you carry, because it will increase your metabolism. Muscle is good. You don't have to have body-builder levels, just enough to keep your body healthy and burning fat. Most fat loss is from metabolism and dietary changes, so don't quit your exercise, but look at what changes you're making elsewhere as well.
