My mom gave me Prydain at a young age, but I didn't really come to love it until recently. Book ineptness is silly, though. D:

Tactics is hard, I think, because it expects you to grind a bit but it doesn't make that obvious until the game kills you unmercifully. Once you and the game are on the same page it's not that bad, but that could be my masochism talking.

I've been a pretty indiscriminate bookworm my whole life. I probably couldn't tell you anything I disliked as a child, except maybe select Charles Dicken's works. (Silly, and depressing. I had to go all over town to find a few books I was hunting.)

Sounds like the sort of thing that'd make me really suffer. *dies* But it also sounds very fun. I've been wondering where I can get ahold of some earlier/more 'obscure' FF games. I talk a lot, but I've only played three in the 'original' timeline (VIII, X, and XII) as well as a few others (Crystal Chronicles, Revenant Wings, etc). I think I glimpsed a comment you made to a friend of mine ([livejournal.com profile] degreve) about not liking FFX? I might irritate you a bit then, as I'm one of those fans. ^^;

Yeah, it's really rare for me to find a book I don't like.

If you liked Final Fantasy XII, the Tactics plot is like that but better. But horribly translated unless you get the new version. Which has Balthier, so like, extra awesome.

I don't like FFX but am friends with a lot of people who do. It doesn't bother me when people like things, it's more fun to like stuff than dislike it anyway, I think. :D

Nigh on impossible! Books are just wonderful things, that's all there is to it~

Ooh, really? That's really neat, I didn't know that~ Is the remake the one for PSP? (I'm apparently very much behind the times here.)

I agree, it is more fun to like things. Though, sometimes I worry I like things too indiscriminately. Oh well! ^^;;; I can't make myself worry about it for too long.
