If you wanted to play more games, Dragon Age is probably a pretty good place to start. The difficulty level is low and it focuses a lot on interacting with the other characters.

And boning them. Or ruining their lives. Or both. Thanks, BioWare! :D

I just started Dragon Age Origins, so you're not the only one late to the party!

I pretty much exclusively only get into video game fandoms. I can't do it with other media for some reason.

Mannn.... I get this so hard, OP. They're always not as active as you'd figured they'd be (considering some title's popularity, etc) and you're just stuck with an active headcanon and a too quiet fandom :/

As someone whose fandoms are exclusively video games', I found them to be more peaceful than some other fandoms. Because of paywalls, I also found that it's more mature? There are far more older audiences than anime fandoms and the likes. It doesn't lessen the stupid some people have, but it's something.

And if you're looking for the story, please do come to the Dragon Age fandom. Mass Effect as well!

If you're interested in Dragon Age specifically, there are a few tie-in novels and comics as well as two huge guides that delve into the games' lore.
