OP
(Anonymous) 2017-12-20 02:14 pm (UTC)(link)An example would be, fandom slightly changed. I clicked on a Loki Gets Deaged fic, and deaged Avengers fics are everywhere. I was expecting Thor&Loki fluff, got untagged Thor/Jane and all about how having a child helps their relationship. So I wrote a fluffy fic where Thor gets deaged and Loki takes care of him. I'm pretty sure it would be next to impossible to point at the Jane/Thor fic and even suspect it was what inspired me to spitefully write the Thor&Loki fluff I actually wanted, especially when the Thor/Jane was an older fic.
Re: OP
And yeah the premise are always not that specific, when it is a very specific plot point I'd usually tell the author point blank - I've never seen this type of soulbonding system before, can I use this for my OTP? - and I rarely get a no, honestly.
