I have to disagree (though not because I think RJ is a bad director). I felt that TLJ suffered a bit from having a different director from TFA. The second movie was not very consistent with its predecessor, and there were times where it felt that that Rian had perhaps not watched TFA at all??? Idk. It was like the first movie was headed in one direction, and then Rian took the wheel, decided he didn't like it and made a sharp left turn, and it shows. The movie isn't bad, but combined with a few other issues it really made TLJ kind of disappointing to me.
