Tell me your juiciest neighbor drama

I had a family next to me that would get in so many drunken fist fights, we stopped calling the cops. They'd never press charges against each other. Waste of time on everyone's part to call them.

I had a domestic abuse case play out in the flat next to mine before I moved. I think every single one of us in the building called the police at the same time that night.

My dad had a neighbour for about a year who was extremely sensitive to noise. My dad makes music occasionally so he started by apologizing and respectfully keeping the volume low/not doing it late at night. Then it progressed to the guy aggressively banging on his door and screaming in his face because he could hear him moving around/cooking/talking/doing basically anything, even in daytime.

Eventually the guy made the mistake of starting on my dad while we were gathered at his place (late afternoon) because a really close friend of ours had passed away that day. My dad basically had enough of trying to be nice and left the flat unattended for three hours with his speakers blaring out "I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day." On loop. It was satisfying. :>

Did your dad ever have trouble with the neighbor after that? I assume the neighbor imploded in on himself at some point in those 3 hours.

Yeah, he must have been going nuts. He still stuck around for a bit after that. My dad actually apologized to him after and said it was an immature thing to do, but I think the guy yelling at him just for having friends/family over (even after we told him we were mourning) kind of set him off. My dad hates confrontation normally. :<

We have somebody who occasionally gets really drunk and can't get into the building and yells on the street for someone to let him in. I think he's sort of in a loop of quitting drinking and then relapsing, from what I can tell.

That's about as much as it gets.

Uh so one family didn't pick up after their dog for a time and when our neighbor across the street confronted them about it, the guy threatened to kill him.

Little does he know our neighbor across the street is a gun toting trump supporter so he'll probably end up dead instead, but there haven't been any incidents in a few months. Hopefully they move / have gotten their shit together, or at least keep it in their own yard.

When they walked by with their dog, I went outside and stared at them and the woman seemed in a big hurry to get away.

Old next door neighbor was an abusive pet owner, called the RSPCA on him multiple times(he always got more dogs though).

And him and his gf would have really bad fights every two weeks like clockwork until one day she packed up all her shit and their kid and left. He eventually followed and it's been rented property ever since, and the current lot are mostly fine, just the kids sound like they're murdering each other every other evening.

The man beat his girlfriend, she came to our house to wait for the cops to arrive. She had bruises on her face but she wasn't crying, she was just angry smoking. The man got away though. :\

I live next to a public park, and some people go there late at night to sell or smoke marijuana. My brother’s room was on the park side of the house, and he had to close the window every night because the smell was intolerable.

insane middle eastern man who screamed into his phone all the time without any pauses like a normal conversation. the only two English words in his phone tirades were fuck and shit. Also played 3 radios on 3 different stations (oldies, rap and talk) simultaneously. also had carpet of pigeon shit on his balcony. also had weird green light in one of his windows 24/7.

I've lived in very rough neighbourhoods thanks to poverty. I've witnessed my fair share of drunken brawls and domestic abuse situations.

Currently, the drug dealer down the street (used to live across the street until his house got condemned) thinks I'm his girlfriend's side chick. He's an abusive ass, and I befriended her early into my time in the neighbourhood before I knew the neighbourhood dynamics.

Her and I will go out shopping or something and he'll start calling her and screaming at her over the phone and has regularly called me slurs or hollers at me from his mother's porch. (We go out so infrequently because of this).

Previous neighbour drama:

In the apartment complex I lived in, in college, the landlord and the sheriff placed an eviction notice on one of the units. When the residents got home they ran out of the building and broke into the landlord's unit and tried to beat the shit out of him.

There was also a broken up couple who lived in this complex. The woman and kids lived in my building in the apartment below mine, the ex lived with a roommate in the next building over. He would get drunk and they'd have all out screaming matches below my bedroom window because I lived in the ground level apartment by the building's door.

In the 4-plex I lived in before my current residence, there was a young couple and their baby living in the unit next door. He broke up with her in a super nasty way and started calling her nasty names as he left. The woman in the unit across the driveway heard him and punched him in the jaw and told him to never come back or she'd call the police on him. She walked into the place, hugged the woman helped her pack up the baby and dragged them into her place with her (massive) family. I had only lived there for about a month at this time, so I had no idea about the previous situation.
