Or a whatever kind of food truck person that catered mainly to kids?

Yeah? I mean, kind of? We didn't have any on a regular schedule but it was definitely a thing that happened. Usually they'd be more likely to show up at parks and stuff, not just drive around neighborhoods.

We had a guy selling ice cream, a guy selling shaved ice, and another guy selling corn. I remember me and my friends would pool our money together to get something from each cart and then we'd all share. It was great.

We had a normal ice cream man. Then we had a guy that sold like...non-cold stuff out of his trunk. The only thing I remember is he sold pickles.

I have a potentially funny story to share.

My family and I take our dogs on walks through our neighborhood. In the past month, we've seen an ice cream truck driving by a few times. All of the times we were wearing sweaters or even parkas because it was so cold out. The funny part is that we haven't seen this truck during the summer, when temperatures are at least in the 90s and often the 100s (Fahrenheit) and people would be more likely to buy ice cream.

there was an ice cream truck guy who always parked in back of the high school in April, May and early June right when school got out and he pretty much memorized who liked what kind of ice cream.

The one i'm living in now does. I dunno about the one I grew up 'in' - we lived out in the country and so ice cream trucks were tv-only things.

Every once in while. It wasn't just ice cream, it was other frozen foods too.

Our town STILL has an ice cream truck man. And the hospital pays them twice during the summer to come and give us staff free ice cream, it's amazing.

Still do. There's a fleet of 4 or so that roll out every summer. The only song they ever play is "The Entertainer." I dont know how the drivers do it, I would go insane listening to that all day.

somewhat OT but I shop at the Grocery Outlet a lot and I want to shoot that one muppet on the PA that goes doo doo doo every 5 minutes

We had Mr. Softee but then my family moved to Assfuck, Nowhere and we didn't even have sidewalks. Now I live in a place that has all kinds of food trucks, ice cream trucks, and the Mexican-style ice cream vendors with the little push carts that have bells on them.

Oh! Also we have a Hello Kitty food truck that people go absolutely apeshit over, lol

There are ice cream trucks that make weekly rounds around here, including one that sells boxes and tubs of icecream. I haven't bought anythign from them in year though, partly because of not having money in my purse and partly because of simply missing them, but I still occasionally hear them when they come in.

Yes, he is noisy.
